Guilt, Regret, Embarrassment

Future of the Left “Robocop 4: Fuck Off Robocop”

Live version of a (superbly titled) new song from their forthcoming record, The Plot Against Common Sense

Check out a portion of the awesome lyrics below (and read the rest here). This song kicks so much ass - especially the last minute.

Robocop 4 is in pre-production
Like Robocop 3 wasn’t bad enough
And George Lucas won’t be kicking his heels
Til he makes some money from Howard the Duck

Robocop 4 is in pre-production
Like Robocop 3 wasn’t bad enough
I hope the projectionist likes his action
Motion tracked and medicated

Ween “Gabrielle”

Shinola Vol. 1 was probably that last Ween album I fully enjoyed. The records they released after had a few gems, but admittedly the band was getting a little long in the tooth. I’ve seen them live countless times though, and had some pretty incredible experiences at their shows so it’s fair to say I’m a little sad to hear about their breakup. Thanks for the mammaries, boys.

He only makes one movie a year
Surely he’s got time to spare…

Alkaline Trio “I Found Away”

The only good song on Agony and Irony. Rachel said she’s never listened to this record all the way through, which is probably a real wise decision.

Drummer “Serious Encounters”

Don’t you ever try to talk to me…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - this is one of my all-time favorite records. It’s absolutely flawless.

Band Shirt Of The Day: Hot Water Music

I got this Hot Water Music when the newly reformed band played at the El Rey on August 29, 2008. This was right after I had moved to L.A. - might have even been my first show as a resident. If I’m not mistaken, this was the band’s reunion tour. I think they did a few one off reunion shows before doing a full U.S. tour. Officer Lewis and I got to the venue late, so unfortunately we missed In The Red. But Hot Water Music were incredible.
