The Twilight Sad “Dead City”
Brand new Twilight Sad video. The marquee at the beginning of this video is above The Echo in Silverlake. I’m pretty sure the shots of the band on stage were also filmed at The Echo. Rad.

Band Shirt Of The Day: The Twilight Sad
I got this Twilight Sad shirt as part of the deluxe pre-order bundle they offered for their latest record, No One Can Ever Know. I posted a picture of it (and the rest of the goodies) when the bundle arrived back in February. I am now the proud owner of three Twilight Sad shirts, and as the band releases more, I’ll continue to purchase them.
I was hoping this shirt would be exclusive only to those who pre-ordered the record, but it wasn’t. They were selling them at their concert on the 6th. Jerks.

Band Shirt Of The Day: The Twilight Sad
I got this Twilight Sad shirt last Tuesday night when the band played at The Echo in Silverlake. Over the past 3 or 4 years, these guys have become one of my all-time favorite bands. Seeing them live is an incredible experience, even when the soundguy botches the sound for 3/4 of the show.
The Twilight Sad “And She Would Darken The Memory (Live)”
Aside from “The Wrong Car,” this is my favorite Twilight Sad song. I wasn’t surprised to hear them play it last night (they’ve played it all three times I’ve seen them live), but I was thrilled nonetheless. The sound issues had been worked out by this time, and it was the perfect way to close out an excellent set,* and cap off an interesting evening.
This is why I love The Twilight Sad. I wish everyone could see them perform this song live…
* They actually played one final song after this, but whatever.
Last night, Andrea, Trent (seen above), Scott, Amy, and I went to see The Twilight Sad last The Echo in Silverlake. It was my third time seeing them, but the first time as headliners. And while they gave an exceptional (and exceptionally loud) performance, the sound was atrocious. James’ vocals were way too low for most of the night, and the bass was way too high, plus it kept cutting in and out. It seemed like the sound guy finally got his shit together though, sadly it was during the last 3 songs.
Here’s the setlist from last night. If you live in L.A. and you missed this show, I hate you.
The Twilight Sad “That Birthday Present”
So excited for tonight’s show!!!
Tonight!!! So unbelievably excited for this show, it’s not even funny. The lovely Ms. Lewis and I will be attending, and we will be accompanied by our dear friend Trent from Florida. Unfortunately, Fartbasket Jones and his tranny girlfriend will be joining us too :(

The Twilight Sad “The Wrong Car”
One of my all time favorite songs.
This is a REALLY tough question. My instinct is to say “Alphabet” because that’s the first song that struck a chord with me. But I’ve been listening to the album pretty much non-stop for the past several days, and it seems like everyday I have a new favorite track. “Don’t Look At Me” and “”Dead City” are two more favorites. I’m also very fond of “A Million Ignorants” which is an iTunes bonus track, as well as the b-side to the “Another Bed” 7”. What’s your favorite track?
Got my The Twilight Sad No One Can Ever Know deluxe edition in the mail today, and it came with all of the above.
Great album by a great band. And a really killer deluxe pre-order bundle. More artists need to offer up packages like this.
